   Detailed Information About the Villa
  • The main house is spacious, cool, and beautiful, and can host up to 10 people, with 5 bedrooms and full bathrooms.
  • The second floor master bedroom has a wrap-around deck commanding a breath-taking 180 degree view of the Pacific. 
  • Airflow is ideal even in summer months because the house is situated and designed to capture the natural breezes; every room, porch, and deck is equipped with ceiling fans, and there is optional air conditioning in the two main floor bedrooms. 
  • And the grand room is surrounded by open-air terraces: relax and dine outside in the fresh, flowing air. The kitchen includes up-to-date stainless steel appliances for you convenience. 
  • Additionally, there is a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer - but if after a long day of say, surfing, horseback riding on the beach, shelling, and sunbathing you need to relax, that's fine. 
  • Our housekeeper will tidy up daily and is there to assist you.  She is not expected to make beds of do guests laundry. 

ONE OF HOTTEST SPOTS FOR SURFING WORLDWIDE

The surfing at Playa Junquillal is legendary. Not only is it consistently uncrowded (even on holidays!), but the waves are strong, fast, and intense year-round. It is ideal for experienced surfers who want optimal waves non-stop. There is a spot the locals call El Rancho that breaks both left and right of an offshore rock. 

There is also an incredible secret spot, that is a favorite of the locals - it's location can be disclosed upon request. (if we trust you)

Playa Negra is located nearby, a few kilometers north. A large portion of Endless Summer 2  was filmed here. The beauty portrayed in that movie is just a taste of the stunning nature here. This beach has easily accessible surf and festive cultural decor.

Pristinely Maintained

A caretaker and housekeeper maintain the house and gardens daily. The housekeeper also  assists vacationers as needed; the caretaker is available for maintenance help if needed as well. They live in a cottage on the premises.

Fredo

Raul was a wonderful German Shepard that joined us in October of 2010.  He passed away in 2019 and we have replaced him with Fredo--once a beautiful pup and now growing into a young man.  He still has a lot of puppy, but he loves to play and he loves everybody.  A sweet boy to enjoy the beach with you and return every ball you throw. He is part of Cielos Azules and we all love him.



Unbeatable Weather Year-Round

While other parts of Costa Rica may be suitable to visit only for a few months out of the year due to heavy rainfall, Guanacaste is beautiful year-round. It does have a wet season (April through October) and a dry season (November through March); the wet season, however, generally has clear and sunny mornings daily, with only a few hours of afternoon rainfall. This combination makes for breath-taking, colorful views of the lush foliage in full bloom, complete with tropical fragrances. Not to mention, the deals are better in the wet season because there are less visitors. So the perfect time to visit is: any time.
